1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The concept is simple. The rewards are priceless. Read a book to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to read 1,000 books before your child starts kindergarten.

Youth Summer Reading

Monday, June 2 - Saturday, August 9, 2025

Summer Reading begins on Monday, June 2. Track your time spent reading on the free Beanstack app or pick up a paper log from the Information Desk. Finish your challenge to receive a prize and be entered into the Grand Prize Drawing!

The last day to turn in your log and claim your prize is Saturday, August 9. Limit one challenge per participant.

Youth will receive a free book, a token for our prize-filled gumball machine, and an entry into the Youth Grand Prize Drawing.

The Summer Reading program is sponsored by the Friends of the Northville District Library.
